When a person struggles with food addiction, there is significant impulsivity and compulsivity. For example, having difficulty thinking through long-term decisions. Once focused on a thought, it becomes obsessive and intrusive, and they can only think about food. Treatment protocols for food addicts are different from those designed for eating disorders.
At the International School for Food Addiction Counseling And Treatment (INFACT) School, we train counselors and medical professionals in therapeutic protocols to treat food addicts successfully.
